SUGECO’s Incubator Program

Selected participants are offered an exciting opportunity to be mentored through the Youth Entrepreneur Incubator Program located at SUGECO’s Incubation Center. It provides young entrepreneurs with the time and space to test and market their products. At present, six young entrepreneurs are experimenting with and marketing the following:

  • dried fruit production (banana, pineapple, mango and strawberries);

  • fish farming/vegetable production;

  •  juice production;

  •  orange fleshed sweet potato flour and puree production for porridge, breads, rolls and biscuits;

  • spice production (ginger, lemon grass, cinnamon, soya tea masala and pilau masala

  • spice “superfood’’ production such as moringa and tamaric.

AIC Incubator Partnership on Greenhouse Horticulture

In addition, SUGECO is partnering with the Agribusiness Incubation Center (AIC) on an incubation program for greenhouse horticulture and the raising/fattening  of goats for meat. Under this program, SUGECO is responsible for facilitating the recruitment and training of 100 participants in entrepreneurship, business development, MINDSET and farming techniques.
