The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries (Tanzania) visits SUGECO

On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries Mr. Tixon Nzunda paid a one-day visit to SUGECO and witnessed the various activities carried out at SUGECO to facilitate youth engagement in  Agribusiness. 

Mr. Nzunda and his delegation were welcomed by SUGECO’s Director of Operations and Innovation Mr. Joseph Massimba and other staff from SUGECO.

He appreciated the work done at SUGECO in facilitating youth and young women participating in Agribusiness. He requested SUGECO to engage further in the Livestock and Fisheries sector to be able to provide young graduates with sufficient knowledge in matters of animal husbandry. 

“ The Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries will continue to cooperate with SUGECO in various areas and they will look into how to facilitate youth engaging in the Livestock sector as we are building incubation centers in all livestock resting areas so that young people can rid themselves of poverty.” Mr. Nzunda remarked

Mr. Joseph Massimba for his part stated that  SUGECO will continue working closely with the Ministry in changing youth mindest and engaging in the Livestock sector, which collaboration he said is good news, particularly to the institution and Tanzania at large.
